Amethyst Ninjato (Manganese Steel, Amethyst Finish)

In antiquity, the amethyst was regarded as a stone of protection against illusions and poisons. The Amethyst Ninjato carries both its name and its color: a blade tinted deep violet through a finishing treatment applied to rare and sought-after manganese steel.

The surface of the blade plays with the light in shades ranging from aubergine to lavender depending on the angle. This is no simple coating: the treatment penetrates the metal structure, creating a permanent chromatic effect that evolves subtly over time. Straight blade of about 50 cm, 75 cm overall length, sharpened.

The mounting continues the color scheme: dark violet ito on the handle, matching sageo, dark alloy tsuba with a subtle violet sheen. The saya is lacquered in a black that shifts to purple under direct light. A burnished brass habaki breaks the palette with a warm touch.
