The blade in detail
Every piece is unique, hand-forged
Description
The Wado Ichimonji — "way of harmony, single character" — is the first of Roronoa Zoro's three blades in One Piece, and the only one he has never parted with. Forged by Shimotsuki Kozaburō (later known as Koushiro), master of the dojo where Zoro trained as a child, it belonged to Kuina, Zoro's childhood friend, and passed to him after her death. It is an O Wazamono, one of the 21 finest blades. The Wado Ichimonji Katana reproduces this founding weapon.
The blade (nagasa around 70 cm) has an especially white mirror polish, true to Oda's design: the Wado Ichimonji is a luminous, essential blade with no unnecessary decoration. Restrained sori curvature, defined kissaki.
The mounting follows the One Piece design: tsuka wrapped in white ito over pale samegawa, pale alloy tsuba with a circle motif (the "way of harmony"), white lacquered saya with white sageo. Burnished silver habaki.
An iconic piece for One Piece fans who have loved Zoro since the very first chapters, a complement for Zoro cosplay of any era (East Blue, Alabasta, Wano), classic One Piece room decoration. A katana carrying the promise made between two children in a Shimotsuki Village dojo.
This piece is intended for collection, display and decoration. Not intended for functional use (combat, cutting, sparring, martial training).
