Sandai Kitetsu Katana: One Piece (Blunt)

In One Piece, the Kitetsu are a bloodline of three cursed blades: the Shodai (first), the Nidai (second) and the Sandai (third, of Wazamono rank). All three were forged by the same legendary swordsmith, and all three are said to bring misfortune to their bearers. Zoro acquires the Sandai Kitetsu in Loguetown with his famous challenge to fate: the blade tries to fall on him, he catches it unharmed, proving the superiority of his will. The Sandai Kitetsu Katana reproduces this iconic blade.

The blade has a classic katana profile with a marked sori curvature, nagasa around 70 cm. 58-60 HRC. The finish follows the Sandai's look in Eiichiro Oda's manga: a polished surface with reflections shifting toward dark red at the edges.

The mounting follows the original design: tsuka wrapped in brown ito over dark samegawa, patinated iron diamond-shaped tsuba (the visual signature of the Kitetsu in the manga), dark brown lacquered saya with reddish hues, copper-coloured sageo. Burnished copper habaki.
