Akatombo Katana (Golden Manganese Steel)

The akatombo is the red dragonfly seen over Japanese rice fields in September, just before the harvest. It is a classic symbol of early autumn, and the subject of Miki Rofū's famous 1921 folk song "Akatombo", which every Japanese child learns at school.
