Kill Bill Katana (Damascus Steel & Real Ray Skin)

In Quentin Tarantino's film Kill Bill (2003-2004), the protagonist Beatrix Kiddo, "the Bride", commissions the legendary sword master Hattori Hanzō to create a katana for her revenge. The blade that emerges — sober but of the highest quality — has become one of the most celebrated visual fetishes of Asian-American cinema. The Kill Bill Katana is a direct replica of this cinematic blade.

The Damascus steel blade (nagasa of roughly 70 cm, 58-60 HRC hardness) is finished with a deep mirror polish, in line with the minimalist aesthetics of Tarantino's blade. The tsuka is wrapped over real ray skin (authentic samegawa), a quality element consistent with Hanzō's declaration in the film: "this is my finest work".

The mounting faithfully reproduces the design seen in the film: a tsuka wrapped in intense yellow ito braided with black diamonds (the Bride's signature palette, an homage to Bruce Lee in Game of Death), a dark alloy tsuba with a discreet motif, a lemon-yellow lacquered saya with a black sageo.
